Gaetano Cappelli's book "The widow, and the secret of the Holy
Pacchera the extreme "published by Marsilio
is a book full of humor and very witty.
The protagonist is Dario Villalta, a gallery with
passion, cultivated as a teenager, for widows.
Dario is found to treat contemporary art,
that indeed the dislike and would prefer to
long as the Renaissance.
At one point appears Vera Gallo, busty
widow of the south appears to be in possession of a statue of
Mantegna, the Holy precisely.
With a thousand subterfuges, Dario
now enamored of the widow, is organizing a 'secret auction for millionaires.
The second part of the book, however, is concentrated sulla
cucina di un albergo pluristellato di Capri
(sede dell'asta) dove le pietanze sono
sublimemente preparate da Mariasofia Madrasca.
Dall'arte visiva si passa all'arte culinaria.
Nel libro poi si mettono in gioco altri personaggi
che hanno tutti un ruolo importante nella storia
come il psicoanalista Aaron Kaminsky, il titolare
della Ticoart Carmine Palomino, l'oligarca russo
Alexander Dudorov e lo chef imbroglione Elio
di Ilio.
Sulla trama non voglio raccontarvi altro, vorrei
sottolineare invece che in questo libro vengono
sviscerate le mie più grandi passioni: l'arte e la
cucina.
